NMR Study of Benzo-15-Crown-5 Complexes with 7Li+ and 133Cs+ Ions in Nonaqueous solvents
Complexes of benzo-15-crown-5 macrocycle with Li+ and Cs+ ions were investigated by 7Li and 133Cs NMr in a number of nonoqueous solutions. The resulting 1:1 complex with Li+ ion was found to be much more stable than that with Cs+ ion. With the exception of pyridine solutions the stabilities of the complexes varied inversely w...
متن کاملFive more phases of the structural family [M(H2O)2(15-crown-5)](NO3)2.
The structures of five more phases of the structural family of compounds [M(H2O)2(15-crown-5)](NO3)2 have been determined. All of these phases are stable at room temperature or above, but transform to other phases if cooled slowly. All five phase transitions take place without significant damage to the single crystal. The M = Co phase, which has a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonding pattern, is ...
متن کاملThree modulation patterns in four related [M(H2O)2(15-crown-5)](NO3)2 structures.
The structures of [M(H2O)2(15-crown-5)](NO3)2, M = Cu, Zn, Mg and Co, and 15-crown-5 = 1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxacyclopentadecane, have been redetermined at 294 and 90 K. The four structures, and a second form of the Cu structure, have been reported in the literature, but are all incorrect in some significant way. The structures, which all have at least two independent formula units (i.e. Z' > or = 2...
متن کامل4′-Formylbenzo-15-crown-5
IN THE TITLE COMPOUND (SYSTEMATIC NAME 17-formyl-2,5,8,11,14-penta-oxabicyclo-[13.4.0]nona-deca-15,17,19-triene), C(15)H(20)O(6), the 15-crown-5 ring adopts a twisted conformation. The formyl group is coplanar with the benzene ring. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-H⋯O inter-actions involving the C=O group and ether O atoms as acceptors and methyl-ene CH groups as donors.
